LAUNCH OF SJGAA

The Art Glass Farmer's Market also marks the official launch of the San Jose Glass Artist Alliance (SJGAA).  Founded in October 2007, the alliance focuses on artists that work primarily in glass and whose members either reside in San Jose or work on their glass art in San Jose. Membership is open to all that qualify and is free. The organization is a grass roots effort to create a community of glass artists that help each other to be successful in their pursuit of glass art making. The SJGAA provides professional networking and mentoring, educational and fundraising opportunities, as well as a framework to provide solutions specifically tailored to the needs of glass artists.

"The primary goal of the San Jose Glass Artist Alliance is to provide local glass artists with the opportunity to share and leverage their resources, as well as provide opportunities to showcase their exceptional talents and creations with the community," explained Janett Peace, Board President of the SJGAA. "The Art Glass Farmer's Market is the first local event that the SJGAA will host this year. Seasoned glass collectors as well as new art glass enthusiasts will be delighted by the theme of this event and will be amazed by the artistry of these nature-inspired pieces," she added.
