“The
costs in working with glass are significant – it’s financially difficult for
artists to explore new ideas and develop new work,” says participating artist
Kevin Chong of Silica Valley Glass Studio.
“The SJGAA helps us to further our creativity and gives us the camaraderie
and support we need.”
The
public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m.
at the Kaleid Gallery, located directly across the street from the new Martin
Luther King Jr. Library. Address: 88 So.
The
Kaleid Gallery is known for its support of over 60 local artists including
sculptors, painters, and artists of various mediums. Fine arts, limited
editions and creative gifts are on view and available for purchase.
“Kaleid
is proud to host the San Jose Glass Artists Alliance Glass Ornament Show,” says
Cherri Lakey from Two Fish Designs, the producers of the gallery. “The spirit with which these talented artists
